Aromatherapy can be used for healing. It makes use of essences from flowers, crystals, pure essential and absolute oils. Wait you might ask, what are essential oils? Well they are basically complex, strong smelling (plus volatile) extracts. They are very strong and saturated from the parts of plants & flowers.
Each plant’s essence is more potent than a normal dried-up plant. Essential oils are being used for many years and they have the strongest healing capabilities of all. They contain molecules which can help to deliver greater oxygen and blood circulation in the body, helping you to heal and relax on a holistic level.
Aromatherapy benefits you on many level. Physically, on the mind and even on the spiritual level as well. They are often utilized using aromatherapy lamps,baths,diffusers, massages or by simply inhaling it’s scents. The often used technique to remove the essentials is through a process called steam distillation. It has been proven that aromatherapy is very effective in alleviating stress, including disorders like insomnia. Do you know that a quarter percentage of young people suffer from insomnia? Aromatherapy can aid them in this aspect.
For people who suffer from depression, using lavender can help to ward off the blues. It is also used to help the digestive and nervous system function better. Lavender can also help to reduce blood pressure and dull pain. However take note that certain essential oils should not be taken for pregnant women. If you are using aromatherapy burners/diffusers, it can aid you in creating a relaxing mood for your room. Or alternatively on could purchase aromatherapy candles to light up the room and fill it with it’s therapeutic scent. Use Benzoin for a sleepy and fuzzy warm effect. This is very useful when you want to recover from over-work, lung-related problems, physical stress-points on the body and insomnia. Another alternative is to use Neroli. This is very helpful to calm down your nerves, increase your ability to withstand sudden changes. Or if you want to reduce nervousness, headaches, pain in the joints, colds and insomnia, then try sweet marjoram. Lastly, if you use Jasmine, it can also help to treat depression, exhaustion and problems in breathing. Sandalwood is great for the above problems as well.
